Architectural
Digest partnered with the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club
for their 11th Annual Kips Bay Tours in New York City on October 9th,
2007. ROHL was a sponsor of the self guided tours that began at Walker
Zanger with a light breakfast and ended at Gracious Home, a ROHL Showroom,
with a cocktail reception.
At the Gracious Home reception, hosted by ROHL and
Architectural Digest, guests enjoyed a wine tasting courtesy of award-winning
California vineyard, Souverain. The reception offered tour participants
a relaxing end to the day’s events.
Nearly 300 people traveled to see five dramatically
different designer homes. These homes included Elissa Cullman’s richly
patterned duplex on the Upper East side, Geoffrey Bradfield’s “white wonder” townhouse,
Jennifer Post’s modern style home, John Barman’s mid-century chic apartment
and a downtown abode owned by two of Jed Johnson Associates’ partners.

ROHL participated in the renowned 2007 Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse. Starting as a fundraiser for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club of New York, the showhouse has become a premier showcase of professional interior design. Two kitchen faucets, both the LS57L in Polished Nickel from ROHL’s Modern Collection completed Christopher Peacock’s kitchen design in the showhouse. In fact, ROHL’s faucet in Polished Nickel inspired Mr. Peacock to design cabinetry hardware in a similar style in Polished Nickel.
ROHL’s unique Modern Collection, specifically its Architectural series offers both functionality as well as superior design elements of geometric proportion and elegance. To say a ROHL faucet was a perfect fixture in Mr. Peacock’s design is an understatement. ROHL’s Architectural series, part of its Modern Collection truly embodies the contemporary yet sophisticated look that the Kips Bay kitchen certainly was intended to exude.
Other participating designers included Jamie Drake, Eric Cohler, Victoria Imperioli and Amy Lau.
All proceeds benefited the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. For more information, visit www.kipsbay.org/show_info.html.

Over 30 Manhattan Interior Designers participated in converting The Metcalf Estate, a colonial revival house built in 1926, into a 21st century architectural masterpiece. Built at the height of the Great Gatsby Era and the Jazz Age, the Rumson, NJ mansion was transformed into an immaculately manicured modern designer showhouse, sponsored by the Visiting Nurse Association of Central New Jersey.
ROHL donated a ROHL Cisal Collection lavatory faucet finished in Tuscan Brass that will be the focal point of designer, Jamie Gibbs’ “Lady’s Waiting Room.” Gibbs’ inspiration for the entire room came from ROHL’s Tuscan Brass finish. Gibbs chose to tie the unique Tuscan Brass color into almost every facet of the room including picture moldings. Gibbs titles the room “Life in a Gilded Cage.” The arched ceilings and Tuscan Brass colored moldings showcase the ROHL Cisal faucet reflecting an antique look that reveals the sage elegance of the room.
Other designers and firms participating in the showhouse included Charles Pavarini Design Associates Inc., Mannarino Designs, Inc., Kerry Hart Interiors and Eli Dweck Designs.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michael Berman is one of America’s leading interior and home furnishings designers. Early 20th century designers that redefined modernism such as Billy Baldwin, Donald Desky and Dorothy Draper made an unforgettable impression on Michael Berman, an impression that has influenced his own designs to be like the trains, planes and automobiles of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s.
Since 1986, when Berman established his interior design firm in Los Angeles named Michael Berman Limited, he has gained popularity with the elegant lines and defined richness he creates in his styles. The Michael Berman Furniture Collection debuted in 1996 which includes pieces for any room of your home including beds, sofas and buffets to name a few.
ROHL is privileged to have a collection of bathroom fixtures and faucets designed by Michael Berman. Michael’s passion for mixing luxury and elegance with streamlined simplicity has created some of the most graceful modern faucets in the industry.
